Love is Like a Butterfly eBook Beverly Peterson Reviews
I think this was an amazing book. There were many things that newly married women sometime struggle with. I enjoyed all of the charactors. I absolutely couldn't put the book down. I have to agree with another review by Peggy, it should have been proof read by someone actually reading the book again, as spellchedk can't be depended on to decide if the correctly spelled word is actually the correct word . . . like Bob/Boob! I truly enjoyed Bev's first book and look forward to her second one! Great job Bev. The ending left me crying like a baby. My husband loved it too. He had some questions at the end, but loved it too. Continue writing Bev . . . you're great. I've told all my friends to get it and read it too.
I was truly impressed by the author's first book. She had an interesting plot which kept my attention throughout. Although I highly recommend the story, I have a complaint. The book needs a good editing. Sometimes authors rely on a spell-checker when they prepare the copy. But in addition to the computer spell-checker, the writer also needs a human being to go through the book, line by line. For example, the words "county" and "country" would both pass the spell-checker but have different meanings. I surely wish I could volunteer my personal services to edit the author's next book. It would be a joy for me to do so. I mentally "edit" almost all the books I read, and it is surprising how many errors pass--even those books that are written by successful authors. I read an average of three books a week so I speak with authority.
I just finished this first novel by a friend from my high school days May I say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is an easy read, and leads one through the typical issues that face an American family as they struggle to find success and keep those bonds of marriage strong and secure. The story leads the reader easily along Mary's path of choice, decisions, and heartache as she struggles to find some meaning in her marriage. Her circumstances take her in a direction where new friends help her to discover what is really important, truth, and the value of family in her life. It could by anyone's story, and it is well told. I recommend it to anyone who wants a good, fast read about love, family, and reality in today's world.
As someone who has lived in multiple areas of Wisconsin over most of my lifetime, I was excited to read this book. It was given to me as part of a Mother's Day gift from my own Mother, who happens to live in Barron County, just south of Hayward, where the book was published. If I'm being honest, I found the story line to be touching, simplistic, and only somewhat realistic as adult literature. I was, however, completely mortified on Beverly's behalf, in regards to the multiple (and I mean MANY) editing errors, including but not limited to; spelling, punctuation, grammatical and inconsistency even in the spelling of a main character's name! Beverly, I certainly hope that you find your thoughtful work to be worthy of a more comprehensive and completely accurate editing application for your future publications. It was a quick read that I was able to finish in one afternoon of sunning on the Patio, enjoying a beautiful Wisconsin Saturday.
Good story, but way too many typos and grammar errors!
great storyline. like that it is an author from my area. couldnt find at the local library. glad i found it here.
I totally enjoyed the book Love is like a Butterfly. It was easy reading and kept your interest till the end. I loved that it was not so discriptive, like when authors go into a page discription on clothing or how the lawn is taken care of.. this book was just right!!
I am going to puchase it for my four daughters, as I believe alot of people can identify with beverly petersons writing.
Wish she would wrie another to see how Jeff and Dollys life took them. All characters in this book were interesting.
