About the Author
First published in 1976, Steamy Raimon has been a member of numerous professional cartooning, and art associations; including Cartoonist Guild (New York), Southern California Cartoonists Society (San Diego), and The Wisenheimer (www). He is both the writer and artist of all his cartoons. For decades, his entertaining drawings and twisted sense of humor have appeared in the likes of Easyriders, Biker, National Lampoon books, Saturday Review, Dragon, Hustler, Saturday Evening Post, New Witch, Tattoo, The Artist, Writer's Digest, The Writer, Environment, Swank, Score, VQ, V-Twin, Tripsheet, dozens of other publications, in ads, on products, and on websites.

This is an enjoyable book with a decent-sized collection of one-panel cartoons (about 150). The art work and the captions are good. Like any compilation, some of the cartoons will tickle your funny bone more than others.To give you an idea of the wide variety of topics, my favorites include the bungee jumper, the "Readaholics Anonymous Meeting," the horse's thoughts when the medieval knight is confronting a fire-breathing dragon, the prisoners in the medieval dungeon, the old man who finds a dime on the sidewalk, and "Young Houdini." I didn't like this very much. It was hard to see most of it on my e-reader. It might work better on a device that has color.
They were well drawn and most of them conveyed an emotion that was easy to relate to. I have a bazaar sense of humor so you need to be way over the top to get a laugh out of me.
